Brian Hoff is an award-winning animation producer, filmmaker, and founder of the Palm Springs International Animation Festival (PSIAF).
His journey in film began in 1994 working for HBO. A proud SAG-AFTRA member and published ASCAP recording artist, Brian gained international recognition in 2008 when his animated short film AUTOMATON won Best Sci-Fi Short at the California International Animation Festival.
In 2007, he introduced Hollywood studios to his original anthropomorphic spy-dog character with the screenplay for 00K9 (pronounced Double-Oh-Kay-Nine). This concept later evolved into the comedy animated parody comic book series Secret Agent 00K9 available on Amazon. In 2026, Brian completed his first feature-length animated film, the action-adventure buddy comedy CANINE ROYALE, inspired by that original 2007 screenplay. The film features original character and production artwork by former Disney and DreamWorks animator Alfie Vann.
CANINE ROYALE has generated strong industry interest, with the project previously presented at major markets including the Annecy International Animation Festival in France, the American Film Market (AFM), Comic-Con, and Kidscreen. It has been featured in The Hollywood Reporter, Animation World Network, and Animation Magazine.
Brian is also the author of the award-winning children’s book series Keeping Up with the Car Chasers, originally developed for BBC Children’s Programming department in 2018. The series follows a dysfunctional dog family as they navigate life with humor and heart, delivering valuable lessons for kids and parents alike. The book series have won awards and can be found in public libraries.
